The Customer Support Representative (CSR) is an integral part of supporting the advancement of the exceptional mission of CPYB — to inspire, educate and enrich lives through training in and performance of classical ballet.
Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet (CPYB) is a nationally and internationally recognized school of classical ballet headquartered in Carlisle, Pa. Established in 1955 by Founding Artistic Director Marcia Dale Weary, our threefold mission is to inspire, educate and enrich the lives of our students and the region through training in and the performance of classical ballet.
The Customer Support Representative is part of Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet’s Admissions & Student Affairs team and works primarily in support of the Admissions & Student Affairs Department, Registrar, School Principal, teachers and staff in the daily operations for the school, including enrollment. This position requires a customer service oriented approach, strong communication skills and excellent organizational skills.
The core responsibilities of the CSR position are as follows:
Provide outstanding customer support to students, families, teachers, vendors, staff and guests
Answer main call line, screen and direct telephone calls
Greet and screen persons entering any of the organization’s facilities following all safety and security protocols
Assist with student registration process
Update and utilize School Management System (SMS)
- Process registration materials; document student enrollments and class level/schedule changes
- Maintain and manage attendance records and attendance books
- Capture queries in the SMS Lead File
- Process drop-in and open program student logistics
Monitor general e-mail box acknowledging receipt of inquiry, answering questions when appropriate and forwarding to other CPYB staff when appropriate for further follow-up
Conduct tours for potential and new students
Maintain facility opening procedures and secure facility for evening closure
This position is privy to confidential information and as such requires complete discretion in the handling of information.
Steady hours. Approximately 15-20 hours/week. Evening hours and occasional Saturdays, in rotation with CSR team members, to accommodate CPYB class schedule (weekdays 3-9 p.m. and Saturdays 9 a.m.-6 p.m.); Availability to also work occasional Saturday evenings and Sundays (approx. 4-6 per year) in support of productions and special events.
