Dreaming of a career in ballet? Attending the Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet’s summer intensive is one way to work toward accomplishing your goals. The Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet, also known as CPYB, was originally founded by Marcia Dale Weary in 1955. Since then, the school has provided classical ballet training with industry professionals and instructors guiding students along the way. If you are living near Baltimore, consider CPYB’s ballet summer intensive this year.
What is a Ballet Intensive Program?
Ballet intensives are designed to offer immersive learning experiences for students who are dedicated to learning the art of ballet. A ballet intensive will typically last anywhere from 1 to 6 weeks, depending on the structure and type of program. With a ballet summer camp intensive, students will focus on harnessing advanced training techniques while also spending time engaged with the academic side of ballet.
A comprehensive curriculum is carefully curated for each ballet intensive that is hosted by Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet to provide optimal benefits and outcomes for all enrolled students. Any student who is accepted into the summer intensive at CPYB will be required to remain present for the courses, activities, and training sessions that are provided throughout the 5-week program. While students are provided with individual attention during training sessions and exercises, they are also encouraged to focus on their own personal style and creative expression through dance.
