Season of Giving

Join the Movement

On Tuesday, March 31, what would have been CPYB Founder Marcia Dale Weary’s 84th birthday, Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet was planning to host our first annual Day of Giving. However, during these challenging times, COVID-19 has caused an alteration of programs and the cancelation of our upcoming performance of Alan Hineline’s Giselle.   With these disruptions, we have decided to change Day of Giving to a Season of Giving asking friends, alumni and the community to share how the arts have impacted their lives.

This event will now accept donations through August 31st.  We will continue to provide updates throughout the season as we become operational and restart programs.  Thanks to the Joseph T. and Helen M. Simpson Foundation, the first $5,000 in donations will be matched dollar for dollar.

We are asking our dedicated supporters to help raise funds that will go towards the CPYB Relief Fund. This fund will help CPYB’s operations and invest in the future of CPYB for many years to come.  While these are unprecedented times, it is not behind us.  Help us sustain a 65-year history that will continue to bring excellence to the community for decades to come.

Our impact

CPYB has taught me that I can achieve my dreams through hard work and dedication. Those principles have carried over into all areas of my life. I am a better person because of Marcia and all of the teachers at CPYB.

Thanks to your generosity, CPYB has become a safe haven for so many young dancers. Through this incredible school, I have learned countless lessons - not just in dance, but also in life.
