CPYB is currently hiring for summer residence life positions to complete our 2023 5-Week Summer Ballet Program team.
Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet’s 5-Week Summer Ballet Intensive Program provides unparalleled training by our prestigious faculty and guest faculty. Dancers from all over the country, spend their summer with CPYB to experience a program focused on advancing their strength and technique using the proven Teaching Syllabus© of our founder, Marcia Dale Weary. They build confidence as a dancer through our comprehensive curriculum that brings together the finest in technique and artistry.
As part of the 5-Week Summer Ballet Program residence life staff, you live on Dickinson College’s campus while working alongside young dancers and staffers from around the world.

Summer Program Residence Director
The Summer Residence Life Director is responsible for the delivery of a customized residence life experience through the management of staffing and operations of the CPYB’s 5-Week Summer Ballet Program (5WSBP) as it relates to residence life (personnel and residence hall oversight, student safety, student life, programs and activities, student wellness support, etc.). This position maintains regular business work hours leading up to the 5WSBP and lives on-site while residence staff and students occupy residence halls for the 5WSBP.
Hall Director
The Hall Director is responsible for the overall management of a residence hall of up to 140 students. The main responsibilities of this position include the facilitation of student development through individual student interactions and building residence hall community. Residence hall directors supervise 6-8 resident assistants in multiple capacities.
Resident Advisor
The Resident Advisor (RA) assists the Hall Director (HD) with the supervision and operation of a residence hall and related programs for students attending the School’s 5-Week Summer Ballet Program. The RA’s primary responsibility is the health and wellness of our students. The RA directly supervises a floor of approximately 15 residents and cooperates with other Summer Ballet Program staff to provide the best possible residence life experience for students living on the Dickinson College campus.
