Residential home for female students enrolled in CPYB’s Academic Year Program

Female Student’s Housing

Through its partnership with Dickinson College, CPYB offers Buchanan Hall as the residential home for female students enrolled in our Academic Year Program. Located on Dickinson‘s campus, Buchanan Hall provides a safe, supportive, and structured living environment where students can focus on their ballet training, academic studies, and personal growth.

With dedicated CPYB residential staff, overnight security through CPYB’s private security team, and in collaboration with Dickinson Public Safety, students are supported in a welcoming community designed to foster independence, responsibility, and confidence. 

For CPYB’s 10-month Academic Year, all-inclusive housing is offered for a monthly rate for a single room. This includes access to the dining hall and multiple added food options including Dickinson College’s Union Station, Devil’s Den, and Juice Bar.

Monthly Housing Fee: $1,850.00

One-Time Transportation Fee: $200.00

Only a 3 block walk to CPYB, the students have their own designated walking path that is monitored by Dickinson Public Safety and is well lit.
Buchanan Hall is a half-block walk to dining options and is only 3 ½ blocks to Carlisle Area High School.
Supervision

Residential Live-in Manager & Dickinson Public Safety

The Residential Manager oversees CPYB’s student housing to ensure a safe, supportive, and structured environment for all students. They supervise residential staff, enforce housing policies and curfews, monitor student safety and check-ins, and address concerns or incidents as they arise. The Residential Manager also serves as a key point of contact for students, families, and residential staff, helping ensure students have a positive and successful residential experience.

Academics

Students who wish to attend CarlisleAreaSchoolDistrict should contact the district‘s registrar for information regarding enrollment, transfer procedures, course selection, and academic planning. Students interested in online education are encouraged to enroll through their home school district‘s virtual learning program or explore a private online school of their choice.

Please note that enrolling in an online program offered by the Carlisle Area School District may result in significant tuition costs for students who are not district residents, as tuition is not covered by local property taxes.

Amenities

Amenities at Buchanan Hall include a downstairs lounge, upstairs lounge, fully equipped shared kitchen, shared bathrooms, on-site laundry facilities, and access to Dickinson College Dining Hall, the Devil‘s Den, and the Juice Bar in the Holland Union Building, along with Farm Works in downtown Carlisle.

Transportation

Transportation is provided by CPYB residential staff for essential errands, medical appointments, performances, travel between Buchanan Hall and studios during inclement weather, and injury or illness-related needs.
