Ballet scholarships are rare and can be a challenge to receive, especially when it comes to ballet scholarships for male dancers. At Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet (CPYB), we offer a comprehensive Two-Year Male Ballet Scholarship for male dancers between the ages of 14 and 19. CPYB’s ballet scholarships for male dancers includes ongoing professional training and two full years of mentorship from some of the ballet world’s most talented teachers.
CPYB’s 2023 Two-Year Male Ballet Scholarship

At CPYB, we offer one of the nation’s best ballet scholarships for male dancers. With two years of mentoring, partnering, and technique-learning opportunities, those receiving CPYB’s male ballet scholarships will surely thrive!
All male ballet scholarships offered through CPYB include a monthly housing stipend for up to 22 months, training at the 5-week Summer Ballet Program, and access to the 2023 Two-Week August Course. Additionally, scholarship recipients will have all registration fees and combined tuition covered, allowing them to focus on what matters most – training and dancing!
Recipients of CPYB’s Two-Year Male Scholarship will expand their horizons as they partake in strength training, self-expression, and various dance styles. Gaining access to new potential ballet opportunities, improving one’s own physical fitness, and perfecting balance are all part of the Two-Year Male Ballet Scholarship.
Eligibility
If you are a male ballet dancer between 14 and 19, you may qualify for the CPYB Two-Year Male Ballet Scholarship.
However, it is important to note that currently enrolled CPYB students are not eligible to apply for the Two-Year Male Ballet Scholarships.
At this time, applications for CPYB’s Two-Year Male Ballet Scholarship are only open to those living in the continental US, and CPYB is unable to issue student visas upon request.
Scholarship Requirements
If you are a male between the ages of 14 and 19 and are interested in the Two-Year Male Scholarship from CPYB, please ensure that you meet all scholarship requirements. We require a video audition for anyone interested in the male ballet scholarship. All video auditions should include center and barre. Video auditions should be at most 20 minutes in total and should always keep a clear portrait of the applicant. Video auditions are accepted and reviewed on an ongoing basis. Once CPYB receives an adequate number of applications, video auditions may no longer be accepted and/or reviewed. For those interested in receiving ballet scholarships for male dancers, a parent or guardian’s signature is required during the application submission process.
